Love these! I'm hoping to use them in a free browser game hosted outside Itch.io, but worried about the license explicitly forbidding upload to a server. I don't know if any way a html based game could use them without uploading them to where it's hosted. Would this be ok?
I think you're right, the license clause was meant for commercial libraries trying to enforce the number of seats and not sharing the files with everybody in a studio environment but it doesn't make sense in your case, I will strike it and amend it and update the pages as soon as I can but in the meantime you can for sure use them in the game, don't worry
